Voting will take place the night of PROM. </p>
<p>PJ Hall has been selected to play Defensive End for the East Team in the 35th Annual San Antonio High School All-Star Football Game to be  held Saturday, May 25.  The game is broadcast live on the Texas Sports Radio Network and telecast by Time Warner Cable. The event is conducted by the Kids Sports Network with support from the Olmos Kiwanis Club.  Proceeds benefit area youth charities. </p>
<p>Jostens will be on campus, Monday, April 22 to deliver Caps, Gowns and Invitations during both lunches, (11:30am-1:00pm)  in the VC Commons Area.  Balances need to be paid in full for delivery.</p>
<p>HOSA is very proud to announce that Ma&#8217;Leek Wright and Caston Casey placed 5th place in Career Health Display at the State competition. They worked very hard on their project and we are very proud of them. The HOSA Meeting scheduled for this Thursday has been cancelled. Next week on Friday April 26 we will be having Erin&#8217;s Dream Lanyards at 3:45 in room 2030. We will hold a short meeting at that time to vote on officer for 2013-2014 school year. Snacks will be served. Please make every effort to attend.</p>

<p>Group yearbook pictures for all groups, organizations and teams must be in the yearbook office no later than Tuesday, April 30. You may email your photos to Mr. Hall or bring in the hard copy and he will scan them into the computer. Please line your students up and make sure they are not in the dark but in a brightly lit place.</p>

<p>If you were denied credit due to your attendance you may be able to regain your credit by attending teacher tutorials.   Check your report card for credit denials or you may check with Mrs. Sanford or your counselor.</p>

<p>The Lady Mats ended the regular season tied for 2nd place with Lockhart and the two teams will play each other today to decide who will have the number two seed. The game is at 6 p.m. here at our softball field. Everyone go out and cheer on the Lady Mats.</p>
<p>Students &#8211; are you interested in joining the Marines? Not sure what the Marines Corps has to offer? Join Sargent Joshua Gambill of the Marine Corps for an informational session about the Marines and their NROTC scholarship on Thursday, April 25. This presentation will take place in the Commons area from 3:40 PM &#8211; 4:30 PM. He is interested in speaking with 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. If you have any questions about the Marines, this will be your opportunity to ask. </p>
<p>All seniors are invited to write a senior will and turn it into the Signature Magazine staff for their senior edition that will come out in May.  See the posters all around the school and come by room 318 to pick up a form. Please type them. You may email them to Mr. Hall or put them on a flash drive or bring them by and they will be scanned into the computer. Don&#8217;t miss this opportunity to leave a friend or favorite teacher advice or something wise or funny. </p>
<p>PJ Hall won both the discus and shot put at the Area Championships yesterday.  PJ threw the discus 170 feet and 8 inches and the shot put 53 feet and 9.75 inches.  PJ&#8217;s next competition will be at regionals at Hero Stadium in San Antonio on April 26-27. They are due April 26.</p>

With this win and a loss by Hays, we are currently tied for first place with 4 games to go.<br />
This means the home game against Hays next Tuesday will most likely be decide the district championship!<br />
To reach this point our young ladies have worked hard all year, both on the field and in the classroom. Everyone is invited next Tuesday to watch a special group of girls represent Seguin High School as we fight for first place in district 27-4A.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The last two weeks have certainly been busy for the science fair kids!</p>
<p>Last Thursday Stephen Garza and Ashely Hastings competed at the Exxon Mobil State Science Fair with over 900 other students from around the state. Stephen received and Honorable Mention and Ashley placed 5th in Earth Science.</p>
<p>Monday &#8211; Wednesday of this week TEN SHS students competed at the prestigious Texas Junior Academy of Science. To compete these students had get at least 1st place in the regional competition. They then had to present their research for a panel of scientists/judges as a powerpoint presentation. The following are the students that competed as well as their results:</p>

<p>Seguin Project Graduation is having a car wash April 6 from 9 am-3 pm at the Pic n’ Pac automatic carwash located in front of Wal-Mart.  High school seniors will towel dry each car after going through the automatic carwash.  Project Graduation will receive a donation from Pic n’ Pac for every car that goes through the automatic carwash. We will need your help in getting the word out and seniors signed up to volunteer</p>
<p>If you believe you have had perfect attendance all 12 years,  contact Mrs. Sanford in the attendance office. You may be eligible for special recognition.    </p>
<p>There is a due date change on the SEGUIN SUNRISE LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP. The scholarships says it is due MAY 2 but it is due  APRIL 8. If you have any questions please see Ms. Mayo in the counselors office.</p>

<p>The purpose of the Seguin Area Youth Leadership Academy is to provide students with theoretical and operational foundation in the essential skills, beliefs and practices of leadership. Application can be picked with Ms. Mayo in the counseling office Application Deadlines is Monday, April 8.</p>
<p>If you were denied credit due to your attendance you may be able to regain your credit by attending teacher tutorials. Check your report card for credit denials or you may check with Mrs. Sanford or your counselor.</p>

<p>There is a Powder Puff meeting today right after school in the Ag Building, room 806.  All juniors and seniors who are interested in playing, coaching or being a cheerleader needs to be there.</p>
<p>PJ Hall won the shot put and discus and was the 3rd best performer at the the Clemens Invitational last Saturday.  The 4X100 sprint relay team finished 6th.</p>
<p>There is still time to purchase your 2013 yearbook while the price is only $55 so hurry by room 318 and see Mr. Hall or a yearbook student.  You also may make a down payment of $25 and pay it off later.</p>
<p>All seniors are invited to write a senior will and turn it into the Signature Magazine staff for their senior edition that will come out in May.  See the posters all around the school and come by room 318 to pick up a form. Please type them. You may email them to Mr. Hall or put them on a flash drive or bring them by and they will be scanned into the computer. Don&#8217;t miss this opportunity to leave a friend or favorite teacher advice or something wise or funny. </p>
